In 2006, Motor City Percussion brought you their program entitled “Lake of Fire”. Using original music by Matt Ownby, the program explores the age-old conflict between the elements of fire and water. The batterie represents fire while the front ensemble represents water. The ensuing battle is broken down into three movements. Mvt I: “Flashfire”, Mvt II: “Submerged”, and Mvt III: “Incinerate” The stunning visual effects produced in this production won’t soon be forgotten.
